The cramped quarters and badly insulated windows are this place's only downsides
Needless to say, the teas and other beverages are way above par here. The rest of the menu is also notably good, presenting several tasty vegetarian and even vegan choices. This place has character and is well worth a visit for tourists and locals alike. The main downside, of a cafe which has obviously outgrown its physical space, is only a major inconvenience if you happen to be clausterphobic. The drafty windows only present a problem in the winter. - Elizabeth , posted 11/24/06

A Tea House
I love this place. It was one of the first places I went in DC, and I go back all the time. They have a smallish menu and the biggest collection of tea and tea drinks I've ever seen. There are now three locations, and you can link to them all from the website. I love the Japanese Curry and the Green Tea Lassi. - Elliah , posted 04/25/05
