Great for lunch
I work in NOVA and how I wish they would open a Julia's here. Each day there is a new vegetarian option. I recommend trying 2 different empanadas for lunch. The Turkey one is fabulous. And the rice pudding is also excellent! - Friend , posted 11/04/05

Beyond the Chalupa
Because not all food eaten in Spanish-speaking countries can be found on a Tex-Mex menu, Julia's is worth lots of visits. Empanadas are like stromboli and have unexpected ingredients like potatos, peas, and curry. The one's at Julia's are great; two are enough for a meal and it's inexpensive. - Tice , posted 07/15/05

Yummy snacks
There are several Julia's around DC and they are all great. This is a local chain that only sells their empanadas and some soup. Some of then are open late. It isn't just a Mexican thing-- the tasty treats are filled with all sorts of stuff and the menu changes a lot. - Roxanne , posted 04/18/05
